THE STORY

Dayzero formed in Southern California near the end of the 2000s around a shared desire to challenge themselves, each other, and anyone standing in front of the stage.
The music resisted a clean category. Alternative rock was the foundation, but the band’s identity came from the collision: melodic writing against aggressive performance; emotional weight against rolling bass lines, layered guitars, and hard-hitting drums.
A Moment Before became the permanent record of that sound. Released July 13, 2012, its twelve songs captured a band that understood recordings mattered—but believed the full impact happened live.
The members have since moved on to new chapters. This site preserves what they made together, tells listeners exactly which Dayzero they found, and keeps the album connected to the people who created it.

This Dayzero.
Dayzero was a Southern California alternative rock band and the creator of A Moment Before (2012). The group is distinct from the Japanese electronic producer Tsuyoshi Hamada, Modern Day Zero of St. Louis, the Day Zero festival, and unrelated artists, films, games, or organizations with similar names.
